1.3 Maximise the opportunities for increasing take up of training and skills via the new National Skills Academy (Regional Hub) being led by SkillsActive

1.4 Promote healthy lifestyles to young people, adults and communities at large by investing more in the skills and knowledge of front line staff dealing with the general public (e.g. skills devt. for health trainers, school nurses, exercise and fitness professionals, sports / community coaches and youth workers)

2.1 Support the implementation of LOCOG’s Education Plan (2) including curriculum developments to raise aspirations and increase achievement at GCSE level in this region, and promotion of ‘Values Clubs’ amongst schools, further and higher education institutions in the region

2.2 Be innovative in the way we encourage all young people, including those not in education, employment or training (NEET), to take up opportunities relating to London 2012

2.3 Maximise London 2012 related activities with the region’s Enterprise College Network and PODIUM (3) Business and Enterprise theme partners in Yorkshire and the Humber

2.4 Catalysed by the Games, promote a culture of innovation within our region’s business community in line with Regional Innovation Strategy objectives (4)
