The ‘SEE for the 2012 Games’ Core Group is committed to ensuring that Yorkshire and the Humber achieves a fantastic legacy of skills, employability and education for the region’s businesses, individuals and communities. The Group fully supports the ambitions of the region’s Yorkshire Gold strategy to seize the opportunities of the Games in areas such as sport, tourism, culture, business and communities and has recently agreed to focus on four areas – ‘signature projects’ - for 2009 and 2010 where it thinks it can add real value. They all complement the Framework for Action priorities too. These are:
